Preston Announces Retirement of Gordon Covey and Appointment of Stacy Snider as Director of Operations and Sea Hong as Senior Project Manager
Preston Companies announced today that DirtMarket Operations Manager Gordon Covey has retired, effective March 31, 2023, after 14 years with the company. In addition, Stacy Snider has been named Director of Operations, and Sea Hong has been named Senior Project Manager, effective April 1, 2023.
“Gordon has been a valuable asset to our DirtMarket team over the past 14 years,” said DirtMarket’s Vice President and General Manager Rob Trujillo. “Gordon was instrumental in the operations, staff training, and management at DirtMarket as well as the growth and acquisitions of our import sites. We appreciate and will miss his loyalty and quality of work. On behalf of all of us at DirtMarket and Preston Companies, we thank him for his many years of service and wish him all the best in retirement.”
In his new role as Director of Operations, Stacy will oversee the day-to-day operations for Dirtmarket and manage their numerous job sites. He will also assist in DirtMarket’s succession planning both in the office and in the field.
Stacy attended the University of Guam with a degree in Mathematics while on active duty in the military. He is an industry veteran with 20 years of experience in construction and began his career at Preston as a Superintendent in 2019 before being promoted to Operations Manager in 2021.
“I’m excited to appoint Stacy as Director of Operations,” comments Rob. “Stacy brings a wealth of knowledge to our industry. I am confident that under his leadership, DirtMarket will continue to provide quality, sustainable import and export services to our clients.”
In her new role as Senior Project Manager, Sea will focus on the environmental compliance and financial tracking of all projects, train the Dirtmarket team on Environmental Soil Profiling and other operations, and manage DirtMarket’s larger projects.
Sea attended the University of California, Berkeley, with a degree in Nuclear Engineering. She started at Preston Pipelines in 2017 as a Project Engineer before joining the DirtMarket team when they were acquired by Preston Companies in 2018 as a Project Manager.
