Jordan Thomas Named President of Preston Pipelines
Preston Companies announced that Vice President and General Manager of Preston Pipelines Jordan Thomas has been named the new President of Preston Pipelines as of January 1, 2022. President and Chief Executive Officer Mike Preston will maintain an active role as Chief Executive Officer and Chair.
“Part of being a good leader is knowing when to ‘pass the torch’, but more importantly, it’s knowing who to ‘pass the torch’ to,” said Mike Preston. “Jordan has extensive experience and understanding of the Company, and he shares my profound passion for Preston. I have the utmost confidence in Jordan’s ability to lead Preston and carry out the Company’s mission, vision, and values into the next chapter. As Chief Executive Officer and Chair, I will remain involved in the strategic direction of the Company and am excited about what the future has in store for Preston.”

Additionally, Estimator Kyle Preston has been named Vice President of Fleet Management and Estimator, also beginning on January 1, 2022.
About Jordan Thomas
Jordan Thomas has been an essential part of Preston’s evolution and growth since joining the Company in 2005, and since January 2020, has been responsible for day-to-day operations leading Preston Pipelines, one of three companies that make up Preston Companies.
Prior to his role as Vice President and General Manager of Preston Pipelines, Thomas held a variety of positions with successive responsibilities within the Company, including serving as Project Executive from 2013 to 2020. Previously, Thomas served as Senior Project Manager from July 2012 to December 2012, and Project Manager from May 2007 to July 2012. He also served as Project Engineer between 2005 and 2007. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and a Master of Science in Industrial and Technical Studies from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
About Kyle Preston
Kyle Preston will serve Preston Companies as Vice President of Fleet Management and Estimator. In this new role, Preston will be responsible for overseeing the operation of the equipment department, answering to the President to maintain the fleet budget, and ensuring successful turnaround for all Preston-owned equipment.
Preston began his career with Preston Companies in 2012 and has since served in various roles such as Project Engineer from 2012-2016, Project Manager from 2016-2018, and most recently as Estimator. Preston earned a Bachelor of Science in Recreational Administration, Parks, and Hospitality from California State University, Chico.
