DirtMarket Project Coordinator Reina Calder Elected to Two Professional Women in Building Boards
Reina Calder, DirtMarket Project Coordinator, has been elected to both the 2022 Building Industry Association Bay Area Professional Women in Building (BIA BA PWB) Board as Sponsorship Chair and the 2022 California Building Industry Association Professional Women in Building (CBIA PWB) Board as Programs Chair. In her role as Sponsorship Chair, Calder will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and supporting sponsorships. As Programs Chair, Calder will manage a committee to determine council events, coordinate speakers, and organize programs for members.
Calder has been in the construction industry for over six years and joined the DirtMarket team in 2021. She has been a member of BIA BA PWB since 2020 and acted as Programs Chair in 2021. This is Calder’s first year serving the CBIA PWB Board.
“It’s important to me to be involved in associations that positively impact the industry,” said Reina Calder. “I’m incredibly thankful for DirtMarket and Preston Companies for supporting and investing not only their people but giving the women in our company wings to grow.”
Calder also commented, “The BIA BA’s commitment to support women in all areas of our industry is impressive. During the shelter in place, they removed PWB membership fees to ensure that all women working for a company that has a BIA BA membership could have the same support, mentorship, professional growth, and networking opportunities. Since this is my first year serving on the CBIA PWB Board, I’m looking forward to making a difference on the state level where there are many opportunities to get involved with legislative advocacy. I’m eager to jump in and keep learning.”
