Dave Heslop Selected as CFMA Silicon Valley’s 2022 Scholarship Committee Chair
Preston Companies Vice President of Sales and Pre-Construction Dave Heslop has been selected as Construction Finance Managers Association (CFMA) Silicon Valley’s Scholarship Committee Chair for the 2022 fiscal year. CFMA is dedicated to serving the needs of construction financial managers (CFMs) and their service providers through the power of education, networking, and information.
In this position, Heslop is responsible for overseeing the scholarship committee to manage the annual scholarship and to ensure the timely and fair disposition of scholarship funds. Heslop is an industry veteran with 36 years of experience at Preston Companies and has been on the Board of CFMA Silicon Valley since 2018. In addition to his committee chair position with CFMA Silicon Valley, Heslop is also heavily involved with the programming committee and social event committee.
“CFMA is one of the many ways that Preston Companies stays up-to-date on changes in the industry, supports our industry, grows as an industry leader, and networks with our clients,” says Heslop. “Fees from monthly programs, event sponsorships, and member dues go towards providing university scholarships to construction and accounting majors, with preference given to CFMA member company applicants. We’re proud to announce that the 2022 scholarships will total $31,000.”

Established in 1981, CFMA’s General Members include general contractors, specialty trades, developers, construction managers, architects, engineers, principals, and material and equipment suppliers. Associate Members include professionals in the accounting, insurance, surety, technology, legal, and banking industries, or any other specialty in the construction industry.
CFMA currently has more than 8,300 members in 99 chapters throughout the U.S. and Canada that offer education and networking opportunities.
